Bird Dyptych Watercolor
Bird Dyptych Watercolor; original art by Norma Miller.
Details & Dimensions
Watercolor and pen and ink on paper mounted on a wooden frame. Paintings are varnished and do not require framing with glass.
A couple of years ago, Norma came across photos of birds in nets. Initially, she thought the birds were trapped, but when she read the article, she learned that they were caught only temporarily for scientific study as a means to ultimately help them. Norma not only liked the duality of the visual interpretation, but it also felt a fitting commentary of our times. The birds are intricately watercolored and completed before the ink netting is intuitively and quickly added to create movement and space, which then ultimately defines the relationship between the birds.
